By profession I am a molecular biologist and biochemist, studying the malaria parasite. I am the second owner of a wooden Lyle Hess Bristol channel cutter, PHALAROPE, which is now up for sale, so that I can move from the coasts and back to my roots in the mountains of Montana.
This blog is largely to display photos of the sailboat and journeys. I used to have another photo blog, which you can access here:

From each photo, clicked upon, you can then go prev or next to see daily posted photos while I had that blog.
If you are interested in purchasing PHALAROPE, to be the third owner of this beautiful boat, then please visit the David Jones Yacht Brokerage website:

PHALAROPE is a nice boat. This past June we sailed north through the Strait of Belle Isle, between Labrador and Newfoundland, in consistent 40 to 50 kt following winds, big seas, under trysail alone, dodging bergy bits....and were happy. Her new sails, of fall 2016, are exquisite.
Thank you for visiting this blog!
